What is the difference between Race Cards and Ratings?

You have probably seen us taking about Race Cards and Ratings and been wondering…

What is the difference between Race Cards and Ratings?

The answer is quite a bit. 

While both give you the race card number, Horses Name, our master rating the OSR, and the forecast odds.

Race Cards provide:

1. No – Race Card Number
2. Form – finishing position for the last 7 races.
3. Days – Days since last run.
4. Horse – Horses name
5. Age –  Self explanatory, the age of the horse
6. Weight – Weight to be carried not taking into account any Jockey allowances
7. Headgear – Examples include Blnk (Blinkers), TT (Tongue Tie)
8. Jockey
9. Trainer
10. Stall – Which stall the horse will trap from (Flat Racing)
11. Miles – Distance the hose has travelled to get to the races.
12. OR – The official rating of the horse as provided by the BHA handicapper
13. Odds – Forecast odds
14. OSR – One Stop Racings master rating.
15. CD – Whether or not the horse has won at the course, distance or both
16. S -Number of runs in the current Season.

Ratings Provide:

1. No – Race Card Number
2. Horse – Horses name
3. Age –  Self explanatory, the age of the horse
4. LR – Last Run 
5. HS – Horse Score
6. SR – Speed Rating
7. OSR – One Stop Racings master rating.
8. Odds – Forecast odds
