Dire conditions yesterday at Royal Ascot and my selections just about broke even thanks to places from OSCULA and MEASURE OF MAGIC placing. YIBIR was a non runner I hope you decided to switch to the favourite, which as I wrote, ticked every box, as it duly won. MIRANN finished fourth and some bookmakers paid out on this despite the race cutting up to 14 runners, thankfully I was on with Betfair exchange and got paid out.

Ironically if we had backed the top rated on One Stop Ratings blind we would have had 4 winners and 2 places in the first 6 races.

2.30 POINT LONSDALE – Easy winner on debut at the Curragh. Aidan O’Brien has trained 4 of the last 6 winners of this race.

3.05 MEHMENTO e/w – Front runner who enjoyed an easy victory in a listed race last time out on the back of being outclassed in the French Guineas. Could take some catching today.

3.40 HUKUM e/w –  Won over course and distance at this meeting last year. Proved he handles soft when staying on well at Goodwood last time.

4.20 GLENSHIEL e/w –  Led and battled back well when headed to win the Group 1 Champion Sprint here on soft in October. Major player.

5.00 ROHAAN e/w – Very progressive and landed a Group 2 on heavy going last time. Still fairly treated on return to handicap company.

5.35 VISULISATION e/w – Mud lover who has been running well at a mile, this longer trip should pose no problems.

6.10 THE GRAND VISIR e/w – Course winner who was runner-up in this last year won’t mind the conditions.
