1.50 Newmarket STOWELL – Given a lot to do when running on for third at Royal Ascot, should win this if ridden more prominently just behind the leaders.
2.05 Carlisle GOMETRA GINTY – CD winner who has 3 wins this term over further. Has the speed to take this from the front despite dropping back in trip.
2.25 Newmarket ELDRICK JONES – Runner up on both starts including at 66/1 in the Coventry when making good headway before being denied a clear run.
3.00 Newmarket POPMASTER E/W – Was progressing well at this trip and on this sort of going before getting bogged down over the minimum on heavy going at Ascot. Expected to bounce right back.
3.35 Newmarket SIR RON PRIESTLEY – Two comfortable front running wins on good to firm earlier in the year before being found wanting on going softer than ideal at York and Ascot. He loves to hear his hooves rattling so rain would be a worry if it holds off he can make all. The odds on favourite AL AASY has to prove he can handle going firmer than good.
