The One Stop Racing resident expert previews all 6 races live on ITV on Saturday afternoon as the ITV cameras go to the Cheltenham for the second day of the November meeting and visit Lingfield to take in a couple of hot Listed events.
This is the race meeting that many consider to be the start of the National Hunt season proper.

THIRD TIME LUCKI 1.40 Cheltenham (No Bet) – Only 4 go to post, this course and distance winner sets a good standard and should make it 2/2 over fences.
GALAHAD QUEST 2.15 Cheltenham E/W – Progressive young chaser who shaped up like needing the run when running well for third on reappearance last month. He will strip fitter for the run and should be thereabouts today.
PROSCHEMA 2.50 Cheltenham – Pretty useful handicap hurdler who won here in April. Stayed on well for second when upped in trip at Wetherby last time, better going is a major plus today.
THE LAST LION 3.05 Lingfield E/W- Fascinating contender off the track since a very successful 2 year old career in 2016 cumulating in the Middle Park Stakes he has since been to stud. If he recaptures any of that old form he will eat these for breakfast. I watched him canter in September he looked a million dollars and Jock Bennett, Johnston’s assistant was very bullish.
MACKELDUFF 3.25 Cheltenham – Found plenty when slowly run handicap debut turned into a sprint to the line. Plenty more to come.
VIA SERENDIPIDY 3.40 Lingfield E/W – PYLEDRIVER sets the standard but he may struggle to give 7lb all round to these seasoned performers. VIA SERENDIPIDY has been running well lately and boasts a good record on the All Weather and has been shaping up like a step up to this trip would suit.

BONTTAY 3.55 Cheltenham E/W – 2/2 in bumpers including a strong finishing victory over CD last time. In a pace with no obvious pace angle (Martha Willow may go off in front) she will be ideally positions to quicken and pick them off in the closing stages.
