One Stop Racing News
Another good week for our systems and a great Saturday for the tips too. 5 wins on Saturday (including 3 in our Lucky 15 and the 4th horse was beaten by a nk , so a very good day which could have been a full house). The NAP (Showering) was a 5/1 winner which is just the kind of odds we like.
Snapshot of our systems over a few days (plenty more in the results for the whole week):

Thommo Retires
Commentary legend Derek Thompson retired last week with his last day being at Wolverhampton. From his “It’s a photo finish” to some of his bigger gaffs there have been plenty of laughs along the way and we’re sure he’ll be missed. His legendary “It’s a man actually Derek” interview still gives me a chuckle – if you’re in need of a laugh have a look at the video here (starts around 1m13 seconds in) including his other best moments. Good luck in your retirement Derek.
GOODWOOD – 5 Glorious Days of Flat racing
Goodwood got under way today and whilst we have lots to look forward to it wouldn’t be right not to mention the very sad passing of the beautiful Trueshan today. A magnificent, talented horse who gave his all. From successive victories in the Long Distance Cup at Ascot to his awe inspiring win of the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle, overcoming one of the highest marks of all time. It isn’t often a flat racer has such an enduring career and that’s part of what attracted the public to him. A very sad end to a distinguished career, may he rest in peace.
ITV RACING this week
ITV racing this week is dominated by the 5 days of Goodwood. For those of you who want a whole day of racing then Thursday is your day! ITV racing starts with Goodwood (Ladies Day) at 1:20pm giving us 5 races (finishing at 3:45). Time for a quick break and then ITV televised racing resumes 5:30 -9pm with the Racing League on ITV4 (coming from Wolverhampton).
For our lady followers also one to note is the Markel Magnolia Cup on Thursday. This is a big charity race where 12 leading women from business, fashion, media and other areas take part in this exciting race. Non of the riders are professional jockeys but they undergo intense training to allow them to participate. You can read more on the Goodwood website and if you are a fellow lady rider who wants to participate in the race then applications for the 2026 event are also open on this link!
Saturday is the last day of Goodwood and there are also 2 races from Newmarket. As always you can find all our tips for the ITV racing here.
