A quick summary of the racing schedule for the week ahead and other things of interest in the racing world.

#AxeTheRacingTax Campaign

If you haven’t seen it yet, this is a campaign against the proposed government raise of the horse betting tax to bring it in line with online casino games. Betting on horses, and as a consequence the racing industry have already suffered blows due to increased affordability checks etc and this tax increase is seen as another harmful blow to the heritage of British horse racing and the thousands of livelihoods it supports. If you want to read more about what it could mean and lend your support to the campaign there is a great article on the BHA website and a template you can send to your local MP to oppose the increase.

ITV RACING THIS WEEKEND

ITV racing this weekend comes with a nice mix of flat and jumps fixtures from Market Rasen and Newbury plus the big one will be the 3:40 at the Curragh (the 1m 4f Irish Oaks Group 1). Whirl and Minnie Hauk look set to challenge again and with 6 entries from Aiden O’Brien in a 9 horse race it would be a big surprise to see him walk away empty handed! In fact that reminds me I must check the odds for a tricast with the other 3 trainers coming first second and third (horses are Subsonic, Bay Colony and Wemighttakedlongway) 😂. First race is off at 1:50, so be ready! Our ITV racing tips had a stormer last week with 12 winners overall and we will be doing our best to repeat the action, get involved here if you’re not already.

Our NAP offer ENDS TOMORROW

A quick reminder that our NAP offer ends tomorrow. Take a look here to secure our one time offer before it’s over.

COMING NEXT WEEK IN OUR ARTICLES….

There are so many different types of bets available now and sometimes it can be hard to know which one is best to use in which situation. Next week we take a look at singles, doubles, L15 and forecast/reverse forecast and when they should and shouldn’t be used.
