A closer look at OSR
This article takes a closer look at OSR and how it can be used to narrow down the field in a horse race, eliminating losers and finding a good proportion of winners in the process
What is OSR?
OSR is a horse racing rating, the master rating provided by us at One Stop Racing.
The acronym OSR stands for “One Stop Rating”
Is OSR any good?
The top ranked OSR Rating generally averages better than 1 winner in every 4 races.
The following table shows the OSR Rank of the winners of 750 consecutive races between Friday 28th January 2022 and Tuesday 22nd February 2022.
203 / 750 or 26.57% of the winners were top ranked on OSR.
531 / 75 or 70.30% of the winners were ranked between first and fourth on OSR.
OSR is a great way of narrowing the field and eliminating a few losers along the way.
If you are looking for each way opportunities, in our sample 52.88% of the Top Ranked OSR horses made the frame as did 42.03% of the second ranked, 34.89% of the third ranked and 28.14% of the fourth. ranked

Getting OSR via One Stop Ratings
Members of One Stop Ratings get every race rated by 4 separate ratings every day in the format as shown below.
The OSR is in the seventh column, all columns are sortable in ascending or descending order to aid research . The default order is by OSR in descending order i.e. Top Ranked first.
